Early diagnosis of jaw disorders is important as bone formation is completed as the age progresses. The first examination age for orthodontics is 6-8 years old. Since puberty is not yet completed in this age range, problems that cannot be solved in adulthood can be solved.

Orthodontic treatments are available in different options. The most classic and well-established option is braces. Tooth and jaw disorders can be corrected with braces and brackets. Another option is orthodontic treatment with transparent plaques. It is more preferred because it has a more aesthetic appearance compared to braces.

  • Acidic drinks
  • Hard fruits should be sliced, pitted fruits should be eaten by removing the seeds and you should eat by making sure that your bites are small.

It is possible to correct crowding and gaps in the teeth with orthodontic wire treatment.

The duration of orthodontic treatment can vary from patient to patient. It can be prolonged according to the state of crowding or the closure time of the tooth gaps. It is sometimes not possible to give a clear time. The duration of the treatment can be discussed with the orthodontist after the intraoral examination.

There is no age limit in orthodontic treatments. The teeth of every patient of any age can be adjusted and realigned.

Hard foods, foods with seeds and sticky foods should not be consumed with wires and braces. All foods eaten should be cut into small pieces. Chewing should be done without touching the brackets.

In orthodontic treatments, teeth should be brushed 4 times a day. In addition to tooth brushing, it is necessary to remove food residues between the brackets with interfacial brushes.
