Dental Implants

What is an implant?

They are artificial tooth roots consisting of titanium placed in the jawbone in order to fulfil the functions of missing tooth gaps in areas where teeth are lost for various reasons in the mouth.

Dental Implants

12 implants and 24 members were treated with monalitic zirconium.

Since implants are a strong foundation for fixed teeth made to match your natural teeth, they are permanent because they are designed to fuse with bone. They are the most reliable replacement for real teeth when it comes to look and feel.In today’s dentistry, dental implants are the best solution option to replace lost teeth. This is because;

  • There is no need for any procedure on the neighbouring healthy teeth to replace the lost tooth.
  • Along with the lost tooth, bone loss, which progresses over time, is also stabilised with dental implant application.
  • Long-term success is higher than other treatment options.

The implants are placed in the mouth in a sterile surgical environment. After the implants are made, at least 3 months are expected to fuse with the bone, then the visible part of the tooth in the mouth, which we call the implant superstructure, is started to be made and a new tooth appearance is obtained in a short time. The success of implant treatment is influenced by a fully equipped operating room environment with sterilisation and disinfection rules, a specialist physician and operation team, and the use of an implant brand with long-term success experience. What is more important is that the patient pays utmost attention to oral hygiene after the treatment is completed and does not neglect regular check-up appointments.

    Dental implants are screws made of titanium that are placed into the bone to replace teeth lost due to decay or various periodontal diseases.

    It can be applied to all patients aged 18 and over, who have completed jaw and bone development and have sufficient bone structure.

    Firstly, local anaesthesia is applied to the area to be implanted. After the mouth is completely numb, the gum is opened and implants are placed in the bone.

    If the bone condition is sufficient and there is no infection, the placement of the screws in the bone can be done in a single session. There will be a waiting period of 3 to 6 months before the upper porcelains are made. In this process, the screws are expected to adapt to the bone and fuse.

    Since the treatment is performed under local anesthesia, no pain is felt during the treatment. We can see pain in some patients for a few days after the treatment, but it is possible to support these pains with certain medications.
