What is E-Max Coating?

What is E-Max Coating?

E-max is a durable, natural-looking veneer used to achieve an aesthetic appearance. It is made from glass ceramic and, thanks to its light-transmitting properties, mimics the look of natural teeth. Therefore, it is used to achieve a natural, aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Teeth with E-Max Crowns

For every patient, intraoral prosthetic dental treatment is the most important stage. After an intraoral examination, the most suitable type of crown is determined in consultation with the patient. E-max crowns are generally designed to fit each existing tooth individually.

How to Apply E-Max Kron?

In this type of veneer, teeth are not cut circumferentially, but in small increments of millimeters. If any teeth require treatment such as root canal treatment or fillings during the oral examination, these procedures must be completed before the veneers are applied. Before tooth preparation (cutting), a model of the tooth color and shape is prepared to match the underlying teeth, and this is discussed with the patient. Depending on the patient's preference, a mock-up (smile design) is created, and this is done to try the veneers in the patient's mouth and make a decision. After all procedures are completed, the mouth is numbed with local anesthesia, the tooth preparation (cutting) is performed, and impressions are taken for the teeth to be crowned.

Temporary Corona

Temporary crowns are made before permanent teeth are placed to ensure patient comfort and aesthetics; these are used in place of e-max crowns.

E-max Advantages

• E-max coating is widely used because it provides the most natural and realistic appearance.
• They have a translucent appearance and are difficult to distinguish from natural teeth.
• It contains no metal; there is no metallic taste that might appear even in cases of gum recession.
• Compared to other coating types, the work involved is more delicate, detailed, and requires more attention to detail.
• Veneers are custom-made for each patient and tooth to ensure a perfect fit.
